Seven-Step Charging Process

The NOCO G1100 uses an advanced seven-step process to charge and maintain your battery. First, it checks your battery's voltage to make sure that the connections are good and that the battery is in stable condition before beginning the charge process. Second, it initializes a recovery process, if needed, for deeply discharged or sulfated batteries by pulsing small amounts of current. Third, it begins a bulk-charging process with a gentle (soft) charge.

Fourth, the G1100 continues bulk-charging and returns 80 percent of the battery's capacity. Fifth, it brings the charge level to 100 percent by delivering small amounts of current to provide a safe, efficient charge and limit battery gassing. Sixth, it delivers only enough current to keep the battery full. And seventh, it monitors the battery voltage to determine whether a maintenance charge should be initiated.
