NOCO's battery chargers are fortified with several unique safety features to protect you, your battery and the battery charger. The VosFX processor is a revolutionary smart processor utilizing sophisticated levels of intelligence to alter the charge process based on organic feedback from the battery to extend battery life. Eight-Step Charging Process

The NOCO G3500 uses an advanced eight-step process to charge and maintain your battery. First, it checks your battery's voltage to make sure that the connections are good and that the battery is in stable condition before beginning the charge process. Second, it initializes a recovery process, if needed, for deeply discharged or sulfated batteries by pulsing small amounts of current. Next, it begins a bulk-charging process with a gentle (soft) charge. The process then continues using both a high-rate and medium-rate charge returns 80 percent of the battery's capacity.

From there, the G3500 brings the charge level to 100 percent and continues to deliver only enough current to keep the battery full. Finally, it monitors the battery voltage to determine whether a maintenance charge should be initiated. The maintenance cycle is repeated to keep the battery at full charge, without overcharging, and the charger can be left connected indefinitely.
